Largest seamless rail welding facility in the world
/We wanted to share with you a video of a project we are extremely proud of, The largest seamless rail welding facility in the world for Union Pacific Railroad at the port of Stockton. A unique and challenging project that consisted of 65' concrete drilled piers, 400 steel piles with minimum tolerances, and electrical for a state of the art crane operation.
An in-depth look at the largest Seamless Rail Welding Facility in the World. Designed and constructed by JBS Cranes, Holland LP, DeGraff Devlopment and a handful of contributing companies. Built specifically for Union Pacific Railroad, the facility handles 480 ft. hardened rail pieces and welds them into 1920 ft. ribbons. These ultra-long railroad rails will reduce the wear & tear of any rail cars that travel along them, effectively maintaining the rail cars for longer.
